Coach Jennings learned the in's and out's of coaching under the watchful eye of Mike Dubose, former Head Coach of the University of Alabama.

On Coach Dubose's staff at Opp High School, Jennings had the opportunity to coach several positions during his tenure including OLB's, Corners, WR's, and QB.  During his four year stay at OHS the Bobcats amassed a win loss record of 29-16 with a four year playoff run.​

His oldest son, Cole, averaged 100+ tackles per season on defense and served as center on offense.  His youngest son, Gray, threw for over 4,000 yds and 40+ TD's while also starting at MLB.  Both boys were honored to be named All-State players for OHS.
